June 2009

BWS PLLC attorney, Ben Schwartzman, acting as co-lead counsel, achieved the certification of a nationwide class action on behalf of homeowners who suffer from the effects of defective exterior windows manufactured by Pella Corporation (d/b/a Pella Windows and Doors, Inc.). The flawed windows allow water intrusion and pooling at their construction seams, resulting in premature wood rot and structural damage. The approved class seeks dual relief from Pella, including: 1) the inspection and replacement of all failing windows; 2) monetary compensation for any costs associated with such repair. The action is pending in the United States District Court for the District of Northern Illinois.

April 2009

BWS PLLC attorneys, Thomas Banducci and Wade Woodard, successfully represented several Washington sugar beet farmers in a lawsuit filed against Snake River Sugar Company. A jury, in a case heard in federal district court in Washington, ordered Snake River Sugar Company to pay more than $800,000 to farmers who were unjustly forced out of the cooperative. 

Winter 2009

BWS PLLC has relocated to the 5th floor of the historic Hoff Building in Boise, Idaho. The firm now has seven attorneys with a team of paralegals and project staff to support them.  

Fall 2008

For the second year in a row, Thomas Banducci was named as one of Lawdragon's 500 Leading Lawyers in America--and was the only Idaho attorney named to the list in 2008.

Mountain States Super Lawyers also recognized Thomas Banducci for his achievements in Business Litigation for 2007 and 2008. A nationwide survey of over 800,000 attorneys was conducted to select which attorneys received the Super Lawyer designation. Only 5% of the attorneys in each state are selected for inclusion. 

Wade Woodard and Thomas Banducci were recently invited to join the Litigation Counsel of America. The LCA  is comprised of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers, and is highly selective and by invitation only. Established as a trial and appellate lawyer honorary society reflecting the American bar in the twenty-first century, the LCA represents the best in law among its membership.

Banducci and Woodard win multi million dollar verdict, in a counterclaim,  for MRIA against St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center----largest jury verdict in history of Idaho and 12th largest verdict in the U.S. for 2007.
