Wade Woodard

Wade brings big firm experience to his practice. Prior to founding BWS, Wade worked at regional firms in the Southwest and Northwest.  Wade's practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, with specific expertise in commercial disputes, bad faith insurance claims, product liability claims, securities fraud and employment issues. Wade is a 1997, magna cum laude and Order of the Coif graduate of Brigham Young University Law School.  He was a Senior Editor on BYU's Law Review.

Career highlights:

Wade has litigated cases in numerous states, representing plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial cases, including representation of:

  • Timothy Blixseth in a trial before the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Montana seeking the return of alleged wrongful distributions.
  • Albertson's Inc. in a variety of business disputes in Idaho, New York, Florida, California and North Carolina
  • Weyerhaeuser and its subsidiaries in several bad faith insurance claims against A.I.G, the Hartford and Travelers.
  • Trus Joist (now RedBuilt) in defense of many large construction defect cases as well as class actions
  • Tamarack Resort LLC in a $250 million foreclosure proceeding and related litigation
  • MRI associates against St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in a cross claim action relative to fiduciary duty, conspiracy and unfair business practices
  • Agrium Inc. relative to numerous product defect cases in several states
  • Washington farmers in a trial against a sugar beet cooperative for breach of contract and violation of covenants of good faith and fair dealing.

Wade is active in the Boise community serving as volunteer attorney for the CASA program, representing abused children in Child Protection Act cases and as a volunteer Boy Scout leader. He currently serves as Secretary for the Litigation Section of the Idaho State Bar.  Wade is married and has five children.
