Susan Moss

Susan returned to Idaho and joined BWS PLLC in 2010. She worked as an associate with O'Melveny & Myers LLP in Washington, D.C. from 2006 to early 2010 where her practice focused on securities litigation and appellate advocacy. Susan is admitted to practice in Idaho and the District of Columbia.

 Susan graduated summa cum laude from University of Idaho College of Law in 2006, having completed her 3rd year of law school at Georgetown University Law Center. She was a member of the Idaho Law Review and was awarded the "Best Student Article" award. She has a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Oregon, where she also graduated summa cum laude.

Career Highlights:

  • Researched and drafted briefs for the United States Supreme Court, including three petitions for certiorari and merits briefs in several appeals (one of which yielded a unanimous decision in favor of the firm's client).
  • Served as liaison between O'Melveny & Myers and Harvard Law School's Appellate Clinic and the Federal Public Defenders Supreme Court group.
  • Delivered oral argument in the United States Fifth Circuit of Appeals.
  • Represented Fannie Mae in a securities class action during its discovery phase. 
  • Advocated for low-income tenants.
  • Led a team of attorneys for the Human Rights Campaign to analyze employment benefits available to LGBT federal employees

Susan is a member of the University of Idaho College of Law Advisory Council. Ms. Moss  lives in Boise with her partner, their two daughters and their many pets. A native of Coeur d'Alene, she is enjoying getting to know more about southwest Idaho.
